Long Lasting Magnalite Cookware Makes A Comeback
If you are looking for “guaranteed satisfaction” on a product that will never fail to please you in the kitchen, then you should try magnalite cookware. They come with a fifty year limited warranty. Who else will offer you that? This product has recently made a comeback after first being launched in 1934. Magnalite cookware is made very differently from most other pots and pans in the way it is produced. Most cookware is made from pressed or stamped metal. These are made when molds are readied and the hot liquid metal runs into them to make the various sized pots and pans. This process of casting the shapes also allows for the individual issues of thickness to be addressed. With magnalite cookware, the bottoms are made thicker to soak up more heat and keep the heat in longer. Although the bottom is thick, the sides are not, and so the heat travels up the sides quickly; in this way, transferring the heat throughout the pot and so making for an excellent cooking tool. The handles are strong and well-made, so they do not become loose during usage. The lids are also unique, as they are made very heavy duty to keep the food warm and the moisture in so your meal does not dry out. Magnalite cookware is also very versatile. It was designed for use both on the stove and in the oven. It can withstand temperatures of up to five hundred degrees in the oven, though three hundred and fifty is the cooking maximum recommended. Another advantage to magnalite cookware is there is no coating to damage. It does not use a non-stick coating, so you don’t need to purchase special utensils to use when making your meals. There is also no baked in enamel finish that can crack or chip over time. The lids are made of the same material as the pots and pans, so there are no glass lids to break. This also means that you can scrub a burnt pot without worry of damaging the coating. Once again that makes the care of these products easier for you. Every piece of magnalite cookware is made of the same strong aluminum. Interestingly, this appearance is one of the features that help to continue the popularity of the magnalite cookware. The retro style appeals to many who remember their grandparents' kitchen being filled with magnalite cookware and recall the smells of good cooking coming from grandma’s kitchen.
